MANY people I have spoken to who voted no in the 2014 independence in Clydebank and Milngavie are paying more attention to Scotland becoming an independent country following the Brexit vote.
We should not take anything for granted, but more are weighing up their options following the Tories' plans for a hard Brexit. The difference in the way Scotland handled it's plans potential independence, with the well organised measures like the White Paper, is a stark contrast to the UK Government's absolute shambolic lack of planning for its independence that we are witnessing right now. I welcome the developments on legislation for a second independence referendum announced by Nicola Sturgeon at the SNP conference. It's important we are ready should the people of Scotland decide to have another independence referendum. |
