A WELL-KNOWN Clydebank vet has retired after more than 40 years service to the town's family pets.
Michael Boyce, 66, is leaving his role at Boyce and Houston and has been met with an outpouring of good wishes since announcing.
Gil Paterson MSP has commended Mr Boyce in the Scottish Parliament with a parliamentary motion, reading:
"That the Parliament commends Michael Boyce, who has served the family pets of Clydebank for more than 40 years as a vet; acknowledges the length of his service, which has led to the 66-year-old becoming a very well-known vet in the area; welcomes that there has been an outpouring of good wishes and many thank you messages to Michael from well-wishers in Clydebank, and wishes Michael and his wife well now that he has retired from his beloved practice, Boyce and Houston."
